Civil Rights Pilgrimage with Blue Ridge District

This October, Blue Ridge District will host their second annual pilgrimage through Montgomery, Alabama. Tours include Dexter Parsonage - home to Martin Luther King Jr. in the 1950s, National Historic Landmark Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church, Legacy Museum, The National Memorial for Peace and Justice, and the Rosa Parks Museum.

CIVIL RIGHTS PILGRIMAGE 2023 itinerary
October 10th – 12th 2023
The purpose of a Pilgrimage is to journey, to an unknown place, to experience the life or lives of others, their culture, habitat, home, environment and expand their awareness. This experience can personally transform the Pilgrim.

DAY 1 -
Departure Time: 7:30 a.m. from parking lot adjacent to Abernethy Church, 1418 Patton Avenue, Asheville 28806 (Driving time: estimated 7 hours WITH stops/Brunch 8 ½)
Restroom Break: 10 a.m. est.
BRUNCH: CRACKER BARREL, 12:00 EST

Will divide Pilgrims into groups of 4 to accommodate – anticipated arrival between 11:30 – 12:00 EST
