The Second Sunday in Easter

Instructions: As you scroll down this page, the worship elements will be provided in video or text form. This service uses a familiar order of worship for the United Methodist Church. We have provided numbers to help you move through the service in the order which is intended. As you scroll, click on the video under the number (1-10) to watch the corresponding video. If a response is intended (such as in the Affirmation of Faith), it will be included under the video as well as words to music intended to be sung together.

Depending on your internet browser, the linked videos may need to open in a different window. If that happens, please keep this window open so you may return to access later elements of worship.

For the fullest interactive experience of the service, please follow the service as laid out below.
View the service as one continuous video by clicking here.
Download or view the accompanying .pdf or .doc to see the order of service, as well as lyrics and responses.

Opening Song

"Who You Say I Am" by Hillsong Worship............Featuring Ken Morgan & Nicole Ray

(View video in a separate window)

Lyrics

Who am I that the highest King would welcome me
I was lost but He brought me in
Oh His love for me
Oh His love for me

Who the Son sets free, oh is free indeed
I'm a child of God, yes I am

Free at last, He has ransomed me
His grace runs deep
While I was a slave to sin Jesus died for me
Yes, He died for me

Who the Son sets free, oh is free indeed
I'm a child of God, yes I am
In my Father's house there's a place for me
I'm a child of God, yes I am

I am chosen, not forsaken
I am who You say I am
You are for me, not against me
I am who You say I am

I am chosen, Not forsaken
I am who You say I am
You are for me, not against me
I am who You say I am
I am who You say I am
Who the Son sets free, oh is free indeed
I'm a child of God, yes I am
In my Father's house there's a place for me
I'm a child of God, yes I am

In my Father's house there's a place for me
I'm a child of God, yes I am

Affirmation of Faith + Prayers for our community

Shonnie Streder

(View video in a separate window)

(Leader) Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation or distress, or persecution or famine, or nakedness or peril or sword?

(Response) No! In all things we are more than conquerors through the One who loved us. We are sure that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Thanks be to God! Amen.

During the offering, we are invited to offer prayers of thanksgiving for the many ways God has blessed us in our lives and ministries. And as a sign of our thanksgiving, we are also invited, as we feel led by the Spirit, to give to your local church* or the Connexion Fund** that will provide financial relief to churches and clergy in our Conference in the midst of our response to COVID-19.

*Please check with your local church for best ways to give by check or other online payment portals.
**Donations for the Connexion Fund may also be mailed to the Huntersville office (PO Box 2757, Huntersville, NC 28070). Use the fund name “Connexion Clergy Relief Fund” to make your donations.
